PUBLIC NOTICE

BOOK CLOSING DEADLINE

The deadline to register to vote or change your political party affiliation in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election. The registration deadlines for 2024 are:

  • Primary Election: July 22, 2024
  • General Election: October 7, 2024

If you wish to register to vote or change your political party affiliation, visit RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov. If you have relocated from another Florida County to Washington County or relocated within Washington County, change your address with the Supervisor of Elections as soon as possible. Be sure your signature on file is updated.

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT

On Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM the Washington County Canvassing Board will convene at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL, to test the ballot equipment to be used for the August 20, 2024 Primary Election. The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the August 20, 2024 Primary Election and November 5, 2024 General Election. This meeting is open to the public.

EARLY VOTING DATES AND TIMES FOR AUGUST 20, 2024 PRIMARY ELECTION:

Monday, August 5, 2024 through Saturday, August 17, 2024 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM (Sunday 9 am - 5 pm).

There are two locations for Early Voting:             Agriculture Center

                                                                            1424 Jackson Avenue

                                                                            Chipley, FL 32428

                                                                            Vernon City Hall

                                                                            2808 Yellow Jacket Dr

                                                                            Vernon, FL 32462

 POST ELECTION AUDIT

On Monday, August 26, 2024 at 9:30 AM, the Washington County Canvassing Board will convene at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL, to conduct the post-election audit for the August 20, 2024 Primary Election. This meeting is open to the public.
